Our Company Story

United Realty, LLC was established in June of 2006. The owner and managing broker began his real estate career in the Fall of 2002.

Managing Broker and Owner, Christopher Spurr, rapidly grew tired of forfeiting a substantial portion of his earnings to large brand name companies. Mr. Spurr recognized most clientele didn’t require the large offices that went along with working for one of these companies. He quickly decided there was no need to help pay for those excessive expenditures, so Mr. Spurr decided to venture out on his own. As a true entrepreneur he found that a majority of his clientele enjoyed working with a smaller boutique company because they were getting the service they deserved. The clients realized throughout the negotiation process that they were dealing with a seasoned professional, rather than a newly licensed agent.

The latter was critical in Mr. Spurr’s success because the real estate industry has historically experienced exceptionally high rates of turnover. Many agents with a past history of solid production and many new agents wash-out of the business within the first two to five years of practice due to the exorbitant fees associated with the real estate industry. Unfortunately, many of these fees could be avoided had the larger companies allowed the agents to keep more of their earnings.Hence, Mr. Spurr set out to provide personal mentorship for new agents entering the business and drastically reduce the fees often plaguing veteran producers.

The advent of cell phones and the internet has made the big-box real estate companies largely outdated. The World Wide Web and the ever increasing sophistication of technology has largely leveled the playing field for those micro real estate firms like United Realty, LLC. At United, we have all of the tools many large brand name firms have, and often times more. We have the same direct access to the Indiana Regional Multiple Listing Service (IRMLS) just like the large firms, we use the Exact SAME CONTRACTS as the larger nationally recognized firms, and hold membership in both the Indiana Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Moreover, operating as a micro or boutique real estate firm allows us unparalleled flexibility in making rapid technology decisions or company wide roll-outs, aiding in a better experience for our clients.

Chris is a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana Institute of Technology. His background in business and graphic design helped him take that leap of faith and turn United Realty, LLC into the success that it is today.
